In September of 2019, Ilegal Mezcal partnered with Niles City Sound in Fort Worth, Texas, to make the Untitled Music Project a reality and record the newly formed supergroup SUSU. With Liza Colby and Kia Warren at the helm, producer Josh Block brought together a group of Musicians whose touring credits include Leon Bridges, Carrie Underwood, and Ben Harper, among many more.

The Bronx Brewery and Ilegal Mezcal announced a limited-release, mezcal margarita-inspired collab that brings the two NYC-based brands together to create a new kind of hard seltzer – Side Hustle Seltzerita, a 7% ABV hard seltzer bursts with grapefruit, lime and bravo hops, with bright mezcal flavor from aging with Ilegal oak staves.
The explosive growth of the tequila category made headlines in 2020, but the spirit isn’t the year’s only agave-fueled success story. Mezcal, tequila’s smoky sibling, has become a favorite of bartenders and cocktail enthusiasts, and the spirit is rapidly growing in popularity as new consumers discover it.
